Thinking Blogger Award and My Book

I have not posted this week because I have been busy getting packages ready to send my first book out to publishers, I'm very nervous and really excited all at the same time.

Also this week I got word, from the wonderful and talented Alina Chau, that she selected me for a Thinking Blogger Award. So I guess I should now pass the honor on. I don't know that I completely understand how this works, but here are my selections.

Weekend pastels

I happend to be along the coast this weekend, so I did some combination plein air development work on my book. The california coast is not Ireland at all, but It had a good coast feel. The first two pieces are plein air, with characters and buildings added from my story.

The last two were painted up in the woods of the coast near Pescadero California.

More plein air and development work

The first image is another development image for my new children's book idea.

The top of these two I did a few mornings ago, while the lower I some time back at the same spot in the late afternoon.

More development and more pastels

This is another development image for my new book idea.

I only got one plein air pastel done this weekend, but it found a beautiful spot in Winters California and had a great afternoon painting and enjoying the weather with my wife Lori.
