More outdoor Pastel

Another color study

I had a free lunch yesterday, so I did another color study for my book.

Character design

Last weeks character design challenge was a B-movie Monster. I found this one very difficult. I had a lot of trouble figuring out the differences between a normal monster and a B-movie monster. To be honest I'm not real happy with any of them, but here are some of my sketches anyway. I would love any critiques.

Sunday was an amazingly beautiful day, but I only had time to do one pastel. This was done on the coast between San Francisco and Santa Cruz.

Character Design

I feel that one of my design weaknesses is character. Most of the time the drawing is technical ok, but really really boring. I'm trying to learn to push my design to add more life and more character. A couple of other people here at work and I are doing a weekly character design challenge to try and brush up on design and critique each others work. Last weeks challenge was "ostridge" and this is my final. Next week I will try and post my explorations as well.
