More outdoor pastels

I had just enough time to do three new pastels last weekend. Unfortunately the sun went down on my last one and I had to cut it short do to wind and rain (bottom image). I had fun anyway, it's nice to be outside creating art and the changing weather made for very different colors. The top and bottom pastels were created one right after the other.

I hope you enjoy.

hey these look great.. i like the first and middle one best.. Those big grey clouds.. AWESOME!! you rarely get to see cloudy / grey life studies. Most of the time its always sunny or a sunset or somethign liek that! MAn i cant wait for the weather to warm up here in montreal. ONly in the last week its been about 9 degrees celcius. But still to cold to go out and paint. Your hands just end up freezing! Not really fun to do pastel stuff with gloves and a winter jacket haha...

Noah your work looks great, I really like the pieces you're doing for the childrens book! I'll add your link for sure. And a few doors are already opening, so things are going good. Thanks.

Thanks for the kind words...up until the beginning of this year, i was at EA doing some concept stuff. before that i was with Sony doing the same. sadly, right now i'm unemployed... doing some freelance work, looking for the next gig. standard operating procedure in this business.

hey, mind if i link up with your blog? i've seen many other SJSU folks around so i figure'd i'd put em' all in my links...

rock on.

Nice! I actually prefer stormy-weather type scenes so I really like the second one.

Yo Noah,
Beautiful landscape pastels. I can't wait to see more, I'll keep checking back.

Yeah, I'm back from Chicago working at a video game company in Rohnert Park. Chi-town was a little too cold for a califonia boy.

Lovely pastels, Noah. They have a very painterly feel to them.

Wow, thanks everyone. Painting outside is one of my favorite things. Jason, I agree with you about the stormy pastels, but it's been raining almost every day this month and it make it hard to get motivated and out painting, but I'll try again next weekend.
