Character Design

I feel that one of my design weaknesses is character. Most of the time the drawing is technical ok, but really really boring. I'm trying to learn to push my design to add more life and more character. A couple of other people here at work and I are doing a weekly character design challenge to try and brush up on design and critique each others work. Last weeks challenge was "ostridge" and this is my final. Next week I will try and post my explorations as well.

Great motion in the ostrich! I really like your b&w marker roughs further down the page, too.

Awesome stuff, you're bookmarked now.

Thanks for the kind comments, sorry I have not been responding I had a crazy week at work. As I think you all have read I have trouble pushing the character enough, but I'll keep working at it.
