It was a crazy day here at Pixar yesterday. As most of you may know we got the news that we had been bought by Disney yesterday.
That said I have been steadily working on my children's book in my small bit of free time. I would like to thank Man Arenas for helping me with tips on using marker for quick value work. You can see his amazing talent at the link to the right (Man Arenas). Here are a few marker value studies for my book

you're Welcome,
I really like the first one :)
really cool work... I cannot wait to see more color work also...
Man Arenas? A good reference of course but your work is very good too! :°)
Man Arenas? ..... mmmmm ....... jejejej... cool work, Noah, really nice, bravo!!
If you had a newsletter, I would subcribe to it!
Hey have you tried color-markers to achieve the same effect as the digital "cloud" piece you posted below (January 18)?
That would be aces...
Furthermore, I recall we spoke about the "marker blenders" that bleed through 5 layers of paper, etc.
I'm pretty sure with some of the markers you can just use mineral spirits or something like that, applied with a brush, to get the same effect. This would likely allow for more control of liquid output and maybe save a few layers of paper.
Just a thought...
hey great blog....I checked out your website and those are some pretty groovy matte paintings! Great color and compositions throughout.
oh wow, these are really cool! i really like the bottom one.
